EANnet® - Unit Price Qty
The packaging:
Consumer Unit: 50x2500MG Units (Capsules/Tablets)
Inner: 6 Consumer Units (Base units)
Outer: 12 Inners
With a Cost Qualifier of 12 it is assumed that this represents 12 Inners so:
Pack size = 12 (refers to the outer unit of 12 Inners)
Cost Qualifier = 12 (refers to the number of Inners in the outer unit)
List Price = $55.32 (refers to an outer unit containing 12 Inners)
Even though the Outer has 12 Inner units in the Outer box the Outer is itself
described as 1 unit (1 EACH) in EAN terms.
Invoicing Unit = Outer
Pricing refers to the Outer because it is the Invoicing Unit.
Therefore the "Unit Price Qty" is '1' and the "Unit of Measure" is 'EA'.
This would equate to 1 Outer box costs $55.32.
If you entered '12' as the "Unit Price Qty" it would mean that if an order
was placed then 12 boxes (Outers) would cost $55.32 or 1 box would cost $4.61
The scheme is that each packaging level (Consumer unit, Inner, Outer) is
separately described as itself as well as any contents which it may have.
eg. 1 Consumer unit = 1 Consumer Unit
1 Inner = how many Consumer units
1 Outer = how many Inner units
but each Outer is itself 1 unit.
