Minimum Order Quantity
This is an example of how the Minimum Order Quantity can be used.
In most cases the Minimum Order Quantity refers to the Outer pack as an EA.
Example:
Consumer Unit = 24
Inner Packs = 4 (6 Consumer Units per Inner Pack)
Outer Packs = 1 (6 Consumer Units x 4 Inner Packs = 24 Consumer Units)
Order Multiple must be the same or less than the Order Quantity
OUTER PACK example
If Minimum Ordering Unit is 24 Consumer Units and the Ordering Unit is the Outer:
- Minimum Order Quantity = 1 and
- Order Quantity Multiple = 1 (Cannot be larger than the "Min Ord Qty")
INNER PACK examples
Order Quantity & Order Multiple will refer to Inners and not Outers.
If Minimum Ordering Unit is 24 Consumer Units and the Ordering Unit is the Inner:
- Minimum Order Quantity = 4 Inner Packs
- Order Quantity Multiple = 4 Inner Packs
(The above therefore only allows Outer Packs to be shipped)
If you would like the Minimum Ordering Qty to stay as above but would allow
larger orders to be made at a Inner Pack Level, do the follow:
- Minimum Order Quantity = 4 Inner Packs
- Order Quantity Multiple = 1 Inner Packs
(The above therefore allows Inner Packs to be shipped as well)
Generally where the Inner is defined as the Ordering Unit then your Pricing
(Invoicing Unit) should also refer to the Inner Pack
