Help file to install files from a Self-Extracting executable file which has been received by e-mail or downloaded from the www.dka.net.au web site.

1. Open the relevant attachment by double clicking on it.
    The following is then displayed.

      Note: Test.exe is used as an example. The attachment file name could be any name.exe

               

2. Click on "Open it" and then click on the "OK" button.
    As the attachment name will most likely be the same name as the program(s) it contains eg. UBF.EXE you CANNOT and MUST NOT use the "Save it to disk" option.


3. Depending on your Internet Explorer settings the following security dialog may be displayed.
    You should check with your system administrator before continuing.
    All downloadable objects have been checked for viruses, using Leprechauns Virus Buster, before
    being made available to you.

   
            

4. Click on the "Yes" button to continue.


5. The next window will then open.

               

6. If necessary change the "Unzip To Folder" path to whatever your program or data folder is.
    eg. Unzip executable files (such as UBF.EXE or LBS.EXE) to: c:\lbs_pgm or c:\ubf , etc.
    eg. Unzip data files (such as UBF_CFG.DAT etc) to: c:\lbs, etc.

    If required, you can check/uncheck the "Overwrite Files Without Prompting" option to control what
    is displayed.

7. Click on the "Unzip" button after entering the correct "Unzip to Folder" path.


8. The next window will then open.

               

9. This window will show how many files were extracted. This could be 1 to an indefinite amount of files.

10. Click the "OK" button.

11. You will then be returned to the previous window as shown in step 5.

12. Click the "Close" button to exit the Self-Extraction program.

13. You should now be back in your email program which can also be closed if there are no further files to extract.
